Baseball's Fall Season Starts with Alumni Appearance

The Fisher College Baseball team kicked off their 2017 fall season under the lights at historic Fraser Field in Lynn, MA.  As is the tradition, prior to the start of practice, a former Fisher baseball player kicked off the night with a talk about what it means to be a Fisher Falcon.  Patrick Gaffny (04') was the guest alum this year.  Patrick was the first player to be recruited to come play baseball at Fisher College.  Patrick was a multiple year All-Conference performer, the first and only multiple year team captain, a current Hall of Fame member and is looked at as the original face of the Fisher College Baseball program.

Fisher baseball finished last year with a record of 26-25 and was knocked out of the A.I.I. Conference tournament held in Lawrenceville, Georgia.   The 2017-2018 campaign looks promising after only losing 4 players to graduation.  This fall will be highlighted by the team's second trip to Puerto Rico where they will compete in the Roberto Clemente Cup, playing 6 games against university teams from the island.   The spring season schedule will take the team to South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Fisher College Baseball has been a varsity sport since the spring of 2002.  During that 16 year span, Fisher Baseball has compiled an overall record of 417-344-2, while earning a post season berth in each of the last 14 seasons.  Fisher Baseball has captured 7 conference titles and 4 regional championships and have seen 12 players go on to play in the professional ranks since 2008.
