Jagba, Mildor and Pinero Named To The N.I.A.C. All-Conference Team

Boston, MA- The 2018 Men's Soccer season ended on a high note as they came together as a team and defeated the Green Mountain Eagles, 2-1, claiming their first ever NIAC Championship. The team also has more to celebrate as the N.I.A.C. All-Conference team was released by the NIAC Commissioner, Meg Schebler, on Thursday afternoon and the Falcons had three players chosen to the team; junior Steven Jagba, and freshmen Leonardo Mildor and Rolando Pinero.

Junior midfielder, Steven Jagba (Boston, MA), was a key component to the Falcons game this year. Steven was known for his strength, ball control and his ability to contribute on both ends of the field.  He was also fourth on the team in shots with 15 (five on goal).

Freshman midfielder, Leonardo Mildor (Pompano Beach, FL) really came on strong at the end of the season after a slow start. Mildor was known for his speed and accuracy, as he was the one who lifted his shot up and over the hands of the Eagles goaltender to give the Falcons the 2-1 win. Due to his outstanding effort, Mildor was awarded the NIAC Championship MVP Award.

Freshman forward, Rolando Pinero (Cape Coral, FL) was the third Falcon chosen, as Pinero was tied for the most points for the Falcons this season (3). Pinero was a key component in the victory against Green Mountain as he slipped passed the defense and setup his teammate Leonardo Mildor (Pompano Beach, FL) for the game winning goal.

The Fisher College Community would like to recognize these student-athletes for their hard work and dedication both on and off field. We would like to congratulate and support these three individuals as they have accomplished much success in the 2018 season.
