Junior Guard Vivian Lara Earns A.I.I. Player Of The Week Honors For The Second Time This Season

Boston, MA- For the second time this season Junior Guard Vivian Lara (Norwalk, CA) has earned A.I.I. Player Of The Week Honors. Coach Ford nominated Lara for her continued strong play over the last week in which she scored 20+ points, a feat she has done over her last four games. In the victory over Northern Vermont-Lyndon, Lara turned in an all-around performance as she tallied 20 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists in the 63-54 defeat over the Hornets. The Falcons then took on the Villa Maria Vikings on Friday, a rematch of each team's home opener that saw Fisher squeak out the victory 64-61 back on November 2nd. The contest was a tough battle on both sides with the Vikings earning the victory and the season split, 72-64. Lara earned her fifth double-double in the losing effort, as she contributed with 22 points while grabbing 10 boards while dishing out four assists. The junior currently leads the Falcons in points scored (18.3 ppg), rebounds (7.52 rpg), assists (59), steals (65) and 3-pt % (32.6%).

Lara will look to continue leading her team as they take on the Thomas College Terriers this Wednesday at 7pm.
