Coach Scott Dulin Hits A Milestone As His Team Defeats Talladega For His 500th Career Win

Boston, MA- In what would be the last regular season game day, Falcons baseball Head Coach, Scott Dulin, earned 500 and 501 career wins as the Falcons swept the Talladega Tornadoes, 8-7 in Game 1 and 6-1 in Game 2 on Tuesday afternoon. Coach Dulin is by the far the winningest coach in Falcons history, with a current coaching record of 501-396-2. Now in his 18th season at the helm for the Falcons, Dulin has many accolades under his belt to go along with the 501 wins. For six straight seasons (2004-2009), Dulin was named the Sunrise Conference Baseball Coach of the Year. Additionally, he was named the NAIA Region X Baseball Coach of the Year for five consecutive seasons (2004-2008), and was named the 2007 recipient of the NAIA Region X Coach of Character Award. Coach Dulin has coached numerous All-Conference and All-Region Players, four Rookies of the Year, six Players of the Year, and has seen several players go on to play professionally.

Since taking over the program in 2002, the Falcons have qualified for post-season play every year since 2003, including a berth this season to the A.I.I. Tournament as the #3 seed. Coach Dulin has built a strong foundation of pride and culture for not only his program but for Falcons athletics as a whole. He has recruited students from all over the country, as well as connecting with many players from Puerto Rico. Coach Dulin was also instrumental in the development of the Clemente Cup as the Roberto Clemente Foundation Director, and coached his Falcons to a first-ever Clemente Cup Championship played in the United States back in March.

Before beginning the Athletics and Baseball programs at Fisher College, Dulin was the head coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy for two years. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach at his alma mater University of Maine-Farmington. Coach Dulin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UMF, where he was a four-year starter in the infield and a two-year captain. In 2004, Dulin was named as an Envoy to Costa Rica while working for Major League Baseball International where he taught the game of baseball to young players while introducing it to many others. In 2011, Coach Dulin was awarded a Masters of Education with a concentration in Athletic Administration from Endicott College.

"Yesterday was a special day. Hitting 40 wins on the season and getting to 500 in my career on the same day was incredible. I feel blessed that I have been able to coach this great game long enough to get to this number. I am very thankful and fortunate to have had so many former players, coaches and administrators that have all contributed to this programs success," said Coach Dulin. "Lastly and most importantly, I am thankful to have such a supportive wife and daughter. 500 wins means lots of games being played and lots of sacrifices being made. Without that support, this couldn't happen."
