Save The Date - Homecoming And Athletics Hall Of Fame

Fisher College is pleased to welcome nominations for the Class of 2019 Athletics Hall of Fame! Inductees will be enshrined at the Hall of Fame Banquet and awards ceremony during Homecoming & Family Weekend on October 5th, 2019.

The Athletics Hall of Fame is intended to honor and give lasting recognition to those individuals who, either through participation, support or interest, have made outstanding contributions in the field athletics, and specifically to the Fisher College athletics program. The individuals and teams enshrined within have not only brought recognition, honor, distinction and excellence to Fisher and its intercollegiate athletics program, they have also continued to demonstrate in their lives the values imparted by intercollegiate athletics. It is also the purpose of the
Fisher College Athletics Hall of Fame to promote greater interest in the Falcons athletics program among alumnae/i, students, parents, and friends by honoring the legacy of those enshrined, who have contributed greatly to Fisher's success.

The nominee must, during and following his/her career at Fisher, have demonstrated the pride, spirit, and success that exemplify Fisher Athletics. The qualifications for nominees are as follows:
• An alumnus who participated in varsity intercollegiate competition while pursuing an undergraduate degree and who has completed such a collegiate athletic career no less than two (2) years prior to the year of induction and has distinguished themselves as a student-athlete. Example- If candidate graduated in May of 2015, then they would be eligible for the fall 2019 induction ceremony.
• Strong consideration should be given to varsity letters won, awards received (i.e. allconference, All-American, MVP, etc.), postseason success, leadership, outstanding achievement in multiple sports, national or international recognition/honors, athletic or professional success after leaving Fisher and outstanding contribution to Fisher athletics.
• Nominees must have displayed good citizenship during and after their time at Fisher.

All nominations will be reviewed by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. Special attention shall be given to balancing the eras represented as well as the variety of individuals and sports represented. The Hall of Fame Committee, which is comprised of Cathy Courtney, the Director of Athletics, Jesse Avalos, Rob Blouin, Scott Dulin, Amanda Matarese, and Katie Zuman, will vote on the nominees once collected and shall notify the inductees of their selection by letter and email.
