Falcons blow 7 run lead, drop 3rd straight to UTB

UTB/TSC scored 12 unanswered runs in its final three at-bats in a 12-8 wacky come-from-behind win over Fisher College (Mass.) Monday at Scorpion Field.

The win was the third straight for the Scorpions over the Falcons in the five-game series. UTB/TSC, now 18-10, and Fisher, now 0-7, will meet again at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Scorpion Field. The final game of the series will be played at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Monday's three-hour game featured 20 runs, 26 hits, 11 errors, and both designated hitters who became pitchers in the late innings.

Fisher jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, capped off by Brett Remon's first career home run in the top of the sixth inning.  Remon went 2 for 5 on the day with a pair of RBIs. Sophomore Victor Lebron continued his impressive start to the season with another 4 hit performance.

Michael Callahan started for the Falcons and went 5 and 1/3 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits.  Unforunately the bullpen could not hold the lead as the UTB Scorpions scored 5 runs in sixth, 4 in the seventh, and 3 in the eight completely overcome the deficit.
