Falcons complete sweep of SUNY-Canton

Game 2 of the doubleheader was slightly more comfortable for the Falcons after an 8 run first inning led to 17-0 victory and finished off a 3 game sweep of the visiting SUNY-Canton Roos.

Senior Michael Flynn paced the Falcons with a 3 for 3 effort including 2 RBIs and sophomore Ray Malagon went 5 innings allowing just 2 hits to collect his 1st win of the season.

The Falcons scored 8 runs in the 1st inning on 6 hits, including 2 hits by Eridani Dume, and 6 runs on the 3rd inning on 4 hits to completely overwhelm the visitors. Ronnie Rosario, fresh off his game winning hit in game 1, smashed his first homerun of the season, a grand slam, to cap off Fisher's 6 run 3rd.

The 17 runs were the most by the Falcons during the 2012 season.  Fourteen different Falcons received at bats during the blowout win, and 10 recorded a hit.

Rosario, Flynn, and Eridani Dume were the only Falcons to record multiple hits in the night cap.

The win gave the Falcons their 8th in a row and 9th overall. SUNY fell to 7-18 on the season.

Fisher returns to action Saturday afternoon when they host Walsh University. The four game series will open up American Mideast Conference play for the Falcons. Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for a 3pm start at Fraser Field in Lynn, Massachusetts.
