Falcons snap 6 game skid with doubleheader spit with Huston-Tilloston

The Fisher Falcons managed to salvage a doubleheader spit by beating the Huston-Tillotson Rams 11-1 in the day's second game after falling to hosts 6-4 in the opener.

In the day's first game, Fisher's Joshua Torres gave up six runs in 2+ innings to take the loss for The Falcons.  After a scoreless top of half of the first for the Falcons, the host Rams managed to scored 2 runs in the bottom of the first.

The Falcons rallied to tie the game at 2 on a 2RBI double by senior Sammy Alejandro but the tie didn't lost long as the Rams added four runs over the night to innings to extend their lead to 6-2.

Fisher got 2 runs back in the top of the 4th but the rally fell short as the Rams were able to close out their 6th win of the year.

In the day's second game, Fisher's Casey Reed completely shut down the bats of Huston-Tilloston and rolled to his first victory of the year. Reed gave up just one run over 5 innings of work, scattering six hits and striking out four.

Fisher scored runs in five different innings, inlcuding a six run 5th to collected thier 6th win of the year and first in 7 games.  Eridani Dume paced the Falcons, going 3-5 in the game. Junior Victor Lebron drove in 4 runs on the day and scored two himself while going 2-3.

The Falcons and Rams continue their series tomorrow whne they square off at 3PM and Downs Field in Austin, Texas.
