Falcons' Season Ends With Loss to LSU-Alexandria

Victoria, TX -- The Fisher Falcons saw their season come to an end with a 11-2 loss to LSU- Alexandria in the semi-final of the 2013 A.I.I Baseball Championships.

Senior Casey Reed (5-4) took the loss for the Falcons who finished their season with a program best 38-18 record.

LSU-Alexandria scored 11 runs on nine hits and benefited from nine walks and six hit batters by Fisher pitchers.  The Generals scored a run in the 4th, three in the 6th and 8th and four in the 7th to advance to the A.I.I. Baseball Championship game.

Seniors Jose Paulino (Lawrence, MA), Sammy Alejandro (Hartford, CT) and Anthony Peguero (Boston, MA) each had a hit for the Flacons during their last game in a Fisher uniform.

The Falcons managed just two runs in their fourth game of the tournament.  The Falcons advance to the semi-final game after surviving two elimination games on Wednesday.  Fisher won the 1st game of the day, 13-3, versus Ashford University before knocking out the University of Houston-Victoria, 6-5, in the night cap.

Fisher's two wins in the tournament doubled the program's postseason win total.
