Boston, MA – The Fisher Falcons used a balance attacked to complete to doubleheader sweep of the University of Maine – Presque Isle, Saturday afternoon at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA. The Falcons took game one 5-0 before closing out the nightcap, 5-2.
Victor Mendez (Lawrence, MA) earned the victory for Fisher in game one, going seven shutout innings. Mendez recorded 10 strikeouts in the outing while allowing seven hits and no walks. Xavier Feliz (Boston, MA) took the win in game two after pitching an inning in relief. Feliz allowed one run on four hits but still managed to earn his first win of the season.
Victor Lebron (Union City, NJ) and Ramcy Lora (Lynn, MA) each had 2 for 3 days in game one. Spencer Hermann (Jacksonville, FL) and Elvis Perez (Lawrence, MA) went 2 for 3 in game two.
The Falcons and UMPI wrap up their four game series Sunday with a 12:00pm doubleheader.
