Boston, MA – The Fisher Falcons completed the four-game sweep of the visiting Owls of Maine – Presque Isle Sunday afternoon at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA. Fisher took game one, 6-0, before taking the nightcap 5-2.
Seniors Pedro Escarfullery (Waterbury, CT) and Moises Melo-Reyes (Methuen, MA) each earned victories for the Falcons. Escarfullery went all seven innings for the complete game shutout of the Owls. The right-hander gave up just two hits and two walks while striking out eight.
Melo-Reyes matched his classmate's seven-inning display. Melo-Reyes allowed one unearned run on three hits and four walks. The right-handed pitcher recorded six strikeouts en route to Fisher's 27th win of the season.
Davidson Pegeuro (West Roxbury, MA), Victor Lebron (Union City, NJ), Elvis Perez (Lynn, MA), and Dominic Zaher (Chelmsford, MA) all had two-hit days for the Falcons.
The Falcons return to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Lewiston, ME, to take on Bates College in a 2:00pm doubleheader.
