Falcons Season Ends With Loss to Georgia Gwinnett

Boston, MA – The Fisher Falcons saw their season come to an end at the hands of the Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies Sunday morning at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA.  The Falcons, playing as the visiting team despite playing at Fisher College, suffered a 4-3 extra-inning defeat.

The Falcons jumped out to an early lead after scoring a run in the third inning and two more in the fourth. Adam Lucey (Malden, MA) managed to score on Davidson Peguero's (Boston, MA) RBI single up the middle. Fisher's two fourth-inning runs were scored by Yuliano Rodriguez (Poa Alto, PR) on a Nelson Lopez (Brooklyn, NY) RBI ground out and by Sander Vargas (Lawrence, MA) who crossed home plate after a Dominic Zaher (Chelmsford, MA) sac fly to center.

Georgia Gwinnett got a run back in the fifth and sixth innings before tying the game up with two outs in the ninth inning. The Grizzlies completed their comeback in the 10th off of Shawn Carlson (Andover, MA).

The Falcons finish their season with a record of 37-17. The 37 wins is the most in school history.
