Falcons Drop Series Finale to UHV

Victoria, Texas – Fisher College dropped the final game of the four game series with A.I.I. conference rivals Houston-Victoria in walk off fashion Sunday afternoon at Riverside Stadium in Victoria, Texas.

The two teams battled for 14 innings before UHV's Joshua Boothe singled up the middle off of Fisher's Mike Mahar to seal the 5-4 victory.

However, the Falcons won the series three games to one, after a victory on Friday and a doubleheader sweep on Saturday.

Junior Grayson Weber started the game for the Falcons but lasted only one inning as he fell victim to sloppy defensive play from Fisher.  The right-hander allowed three runs on four hits and three walks.

Junior Ryne McNary pitched two scores innings in relief while Brandon Mannion supplied a huge performance out of the bullpen for Fisher. The right-hander went seven innings, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out seven.

Chris Cantu and Joshua Torres combined for three scoreless innings.

Offensively, the Falcons were paced by Jordan Berry's 3-for-6 performance. Harold Nogueras also continued to shine at the plate, going 2-for-5 wile three RBIs and a walk.

The Falcons return to action Saturday afternoon versus the University of Maine –Farmington in a day-night doubleheader.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:00PM.
