Falcons Fall to Indiana Tech for 2nd Consecutive Day

Portsmouth, OHIO – For the second day in a row the Falcons fell to Indiana Tech in the Al Oliver Classic, this time by a score of 13-1. With the loss the Falcons fall to 7-3 on the season with Indiana Tech improves to 9-2.

Fisher pitching could not keep the Indiana Tech offense at bay throughout the game and the Falcons surrendered runs in all but two innings. Amauris Santana got the start for Fisher and took the loss after lasting just 3.2 innings.  Santana allowed four runs, three of which were earned, on five hits and a walk. The right-hander managed just one strikeout on the afternoon.

Senior Scott Bigelow allowed three runs on four hits in 1.1 innings of relief as the Indiana Tech hitters had an answer for the Falcons all afternoon.

Offensively the Falcons continued to struggled, scoring just one run.  Kyle Anulao, Cody Mercier, Haydell Alicia, Reinaldo Moreta and Joey LaRocca each had a hit in the game.

The Falcons are right back on the field Monday, March 07, 2016 when they square off against the University of St. Francis (IN) and Shawnee State University in a split doubleheader.  The Falcons are scheduled to face USF at 1:00pm before taking on Shawnee State at 4:00pm EST.
