Weber Leads Falcons Past St. Francis, 5-2

Portsmouth, OHIO – Grayson Weber allowed just four hits over seven innings to lead the Falcons to a 5-2 victory of the University of St. Francis (IN) Monday afternoon in Portsmouth, Ohio. The senior right-hander gave up two runs and four walks on the day while recording two strikeouts in his first complete game on the season.

The Falcons jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first innings before tacking on two runs in the fourth and sixth innings respectively. Cody Mercier and Joshua Casado led the Falcons offensively. Mercier went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored while Casado went 2-for-4.

Adam Lucey (1-for-3), Haydell Alicea (1-for-3) and Joey LaRocca (1-for-3) also recorded hits for Fisher.

The Falcons finish off the Al Oliver Classic when they take on host Shawnee State later Monday evening.
