Elizabethton, TN -- Fisher exploded for eight runs on the eigth inning but the comeback fell short as the Falcons dropped a 13-11 decision to Milligan College Tuesday afternoon. The loss, thier fourth in five games, drops the Falcons to 8-5 on the season.
Sam Schroeder and Cody Mercier each belted home runs for Fisher and combined for five runs batted in. Schroder's (1-for-5) homerun was his first in a Falcon uniform while Mericer (2-for-5) has a team leading two home runs.
Devin Perry, Haydel Alicia and Reinaldo Moreta each added multiple hits for the Falcons while Fisher also got offensive contributions from Kyle Anulao, Adam Lucey, Andres Ruiz and Joey LaRocca.
Senior Nelson Lopez took the loss of the mound for Fisher after going just four complete innings. Lopez allowed eight runs on 10 hits and three walks.
Scott Bigelow, Zach LeBlanc and Zac White cominte for four innings in relief.
The Falcons complete their two game series with Milligan College Wednesday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
