Falcons Drop Series Opener To Fighting Saints

Lynn, MA -- The Falcons drop the first game of a five game series with the College of Saint Joseph's (VT) Friday night at Fraser Field by the score of 9-4. With the loss the Falcons drop to 11-17 on the season.

Brian DeJesus got the start on the mound for Falcons while Matthew Trotta and Yumil Delgado appeared in relief. DeJesus lasted six innings, allowing four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out nine. Trotta took the loss after lasting just two and 2/3 innings. The southpaw allowed five runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks.

Offensively, Fisher was led by a two hit performance from Adam Lucey (2-for3).  Devin Perry, Reinado Moreta, Haydell Alicea, and Andres Ruiz also recorded hits for the Falcons.

The series between Fisher and CSJ will resume Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 pm. The set will concluded with a Sunday doubleheader scheduled for 12:00 pm.
