Rams down Falcons 14-4, Streak Stops at Four Games

(LYNN, MA) -  The Fisher College Falcons (21-16) fall 14-4 to the Framingham State University Rams (10-11) on a fridged night at Fraser Field.

The Falcons commanded an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning as 1B Mitch Lundholm knocked an opposite field two-run HR, which then was followed up by a CF Cody Mercier two RBI single in the fourth inning putting the Falcons up 4-0 going into the 5th inning.  Unfortunately that is all the offense Fisher could produce on the night as the Rams' went on to score 14 unanswered runs after Falcons SP Wesley Lopez was chased from the game with one out in the seventh inning still holding on to a three run lead.  The bullpen wasn't sharpe on this night giving up 10 runs in two innings of work.  Lopez looked good on the mound for the Falcons going 6.1 IP allowing only three earned runs on seven hits, striking out seven and only allowing one walk on his night.

With the loss the Falcons drop to 21-16 on the season and are preparing to kick off their conference schedule by hosting the College of Saint Joseph's Saints this Friday, April 13th at Fraser Field; first pitch scheduled for 7:00 PM.
