Roger's Blast Lifts the Falcons Past the Saints

(LYNN, MA) - The Falcons C Josh Rogers delivered a 7th inning two-run HR scoring LF Jose Jimenez to tie the game up at two aside.  In the eighth the Falcons finally got to Saints SP Ben Brown breaking out for six runs, highlighted by both RF Haydell Alicea and DH Jonathan Rosado hitting RBI doubles, another 2-run single produced by Rodgers and a perfectly executed safety squeeze laid down by 3B Sami Bibovic put the game out of reach.

The Falcons starting pitcher Raymundo Gomez got the no-decision pitching a strong seven inning of work, giving up only one run on four hits and striking out three Saints on the night. Falcons relief pitcher Jose Galan earns the victory in his inning of work in which he struck out the side and Ismael Perez followed up by throwing a clean ninth inning.

With the victory the Falcons now sit at 22-16 on the season and the Saints now fall to 8-25 on the year.  Fisher will have a quick turnaround as they play host to a split double header on Saturday at Fraser Field.  The Falcons will first take on the Pine Manor Gators at 11:00 AM, then followed by a rematch of tonight's game against the Saints with first pitched expected around 7:00 PM.
