LYNN, MASS. – As if yesterday's two walk-off wins weren't enough, the Fisher College Baseball team rallied for eight runs in the bottom of the ninth inning of game two to end the fall portion of the season with a double-header sweep against Bryant & Stratton College-Albany, 3-1 and 12-9. The wins send the Falcons to an impressive 9-1 record this fall as the team is averaging X runs per game and a team ERA of 0.00.

Game One: Fisher College 3, Bryant & Stratton College-Albany 1 (Final)

A pair of sacrifice flies in the home half of the eighth inning was the difference maker as the Falcons earned a 3-1 win in the day's opening game.

Senior Mitchell Lundholm (Plymouth, Mass.) and junior Jonathan Rosado (Bayamon, P.R.) each lifted sac flies to drive in the final two runs to back the strong pitching performance from the staff. Lundhomm finished the opener going 1-for-3 with a RBI while Rosado drove in two RBI on his own 1-for-3 afternoon. Sophomore John Batista (Lawrence, Mass.) was the lone Falcon to record multiple hits as he went 2-for-4 in the contest.

Freshman Andres Meletiche (Guayanilla, P.R.) pitched four solid innings as the starter for Fisher. The right-hander allowed just one run on two hits while fanning three. Junior Christian Dow (Rochester, N.H.) then finished off the ballgame with five innings of one-hit ball and striking out four without issuing a walk. Dow was credited with the win and is now 1-0 on the year.

Marlinson Brunken took the loss for the Bobcats as he surrendered the two runs in the eighth inning. He finished with a line of two innings pitched, allowing two runs (both unearned) on two hits. Rocco DeVito started the ballgame and pitched six innings of one run ball on five hits and retiring four Falcons by way of the K.

John Loschiavo was the lone bright star offensively for Bryant & Stratton-Albany as he finished the afternoon going 2-for-4 with a run scored. Gabriel Murillo record the other Bobcat hit on a RBI single in the fourth inning that plated Loschiavo and gave BSC-Albany a short-lived lead.

Game Two: Fisher College 12, Bryant & Stratton College-Albany 9 (Final)

Trailing 9-4 with three outs to go in the fall season, the Falcons mounted an unprecedented come back as they plated eight runs, seven of which came with two outs, to walk-off and win 12-9 over Bryant & Stratton College-Albany.

In the fateful ninth inning, freshman Reynaldo Vega (Aguada, P.R.) laced a bases loaded single before junior Jacob Deziel (Merrimac, Mass.) cleared the bases with a two-out triple to centerfield. With the score at 9-8, junior Cameron Pearson (Orlando, Fla.) scampered home on a passed ball to tie game setting the stage for Lundholm. The veteran infielder promptly responded by launching a three-run walk-off home run into the parking lot beyond the right field fence to cap off an improbable inning.

Lundholm finished the game going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs scored and a double shy of the cycle. Batista also had a huge game offensively as he went 3-for-5 with a triple and RBI while Vega finished going 2-for-4 with the RBI that started it all.

Sophomore Angel Rivera (Caguas, P.R.) was given the win as he is now 1-0 after pitching the top of the ninth inning. The right-hander allowed two runs on three hits in his only frame of work. Junior Norberto Ceballos (Loiza, P.R.) started the game for the Falcons as he gave up two runs on two hits and three strikeouts over his five innings of work.

Eslinyer Marinez blasted a home run and went 2-for-4 to help lead the Bobcats to their highest run output against Fisher this fall. Carson Mosher added a 2-for-5, three RBI night and Clarence Givhans registered a three hit ballgame. Michael Santos also chipped in with two RBI on his own 2-for-5 showing at the plate.

The ending ruined a solid start for Brander Ozoria, who held the Fisher offense to just three runs on eight hits over five innings of work. Max Perrolta was given the loss as he was responsible for the winning run to cross in the ninth.

The Falcons end the fall season with a 9-1 record and are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 15 against Anna Maria College at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, Mass. Game time is slated for 12pm.
