Foreman, Colby College Cruise Past Fisher 73-51

Ben Foreman and the Colby College Mules were too much for the Fisher Falcons Tuesday evening at Fectau-Leary Gym in Lynn, MA.  The Falcons lost 73-51 to see the season record fall to 2-6.

Forman, a native of Los Angeles, CA, led all scorers with 20 points on the night going 7 for 10 from the floor and an impressive 4-6 behind the arc.  On the night the Mules shot 45% from three -point land including a game changing 58% in the second half.

The game started slowly as neither team was able to convert on multiple offensive chances.  Four minutes into the game the score was only 3-2 and it took 8 minutes for a team to reach double figures, with Colby College leading 11-6 after a Gordon Fischer (Camden, ME) three point shot.

Back to back layups by senior Dennis Norford (West Haven, CT) put the Falcons in front 14-13 with 12 minutes left in the half but that was as close the Fisher would come to victory.  Tied 19-19 with 6:11 remaining the Mules began a devastating run.

Fisher had turnovers on four straight possessions while the Mules continued to knock down the three.  Colby finished out the first half on a 12-2 run the all but put the game away, as they lead 33-21 at the break.

The Falcons shot 36% in the first half while Colby was a converting nearly half their chances at 49%.

The second half went much like the first for both Colby and Fisher as their shooting streaks continued.  Colby hit 7 of 12 three point shots in the second half while Fisher shot 33% from the floor.

Norford had a game high 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Falcons while sophomores Ny'Kee White and Orlando Zayes added 7 points each of the bench.

The Falcons managed only 13 assists compared to 21 team turnovers.

Along with Foreman, the Mules were paced by Fischer's 10 points and 7 rebounds.  Senior Kyle Donovan (Portland, ME) also added 9 points and 7 rebounds.

The Falcons return to action Thursday night when the take on American Mideast Conference for Point Park University.  The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvanian school is currently receiving votes in the NAIA national poll.  Tip-off is scheduled for 8PM.
