Fort Kent Men's Basketball Tops Fisher in Colby Invitational

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Jeremy Thomas had a game-high 25 points on 8-for-12 shooting as the University of Maine at Fort Kent took a 67-60 win over Fisher College in the Colby College Men's Basketball Invitational on Saturday.

UMFK moves to 5-5 overall after falling to Colby on Friday night. Fisher, which will play the Mules on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the three-team tourney, fall to 2-8.

Thomas also shot 6-for-6 from the foul line. The Bengals were 15-for-18 from the foul line and Fisher had just a 4-for-7 effort.

Yoshives Belizaire (Miramar, Fla.) added 10 points, while Manny Odugbela (Providence, R.I.) had nine for the Bengals. Othniel Hyliger (Sandy Point, St. Kitts) contributed eight points and a game-high 11 rebounds for UMFK. Pablo Llamas (Leon, Spain) had a game-high five assists.

Dennis Norford (New Haven, Conn.) led Fisher with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Ryan McCorkle (Bellevue, Wash.) had 11 points and Orlando Zayas (East Boston, Mass.) finished with nine.

Fisher returns to action Sunday where they will take on tournament host Colby College.  Tip off is scheduled for 2pm.  This will be the second meeting in less then a week.  Colby College defeated Fisher 73-51 Tuesday November 29th, in Lynn, MA.
