Falcons upended by Wilberforce 83-77

A six point lead at the break proved enough for the Bulldogs as the Falcons fell just short of their first AMC victory of the season losing 83-77. Trailing 50-44 at half time, Fisher turned up the defensive pressure; limiting the Bulldogs to just 33 second half points.  Unfortunately for the Falcons, they would not surpass that point total either, scoring 33 second half points on their way to 77 for the game.

Sophomore Ryan McCorkle (Bellevue, WA) had a team high 18 points in just 22 minutes played as fouls kept him sidelined throughout the contest. Senior Dennis Norford (New Haven, CT) continued his impressive scoring pace, noting 17 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.

Zack Pope (Orlando, FL) added 14 points of the bench for the Falcons, going an efficient 4-4 from the field at hitting both his three point attempts.

Chris Olafioye had a game high 25 points for the Bulldogs who also got strong contributions from Tremayne Scott, 16 points and Darius Foster, 14 points. Ronald Hightower and Fisher's Norford each had a game high 8 rebounds.

The Falcons won't return to action until Wednesday December 21st when they travel to Buffalo, NY. The Falcons will open up the Daemen College Holiday Tournament against the hosts and AMC rival Daemen College.
