Falcons Finished 3rd in Bates College Tournament

Waterville, ME -- The Fisher Men's Basketball team finished 3rd in the Bates College Tournment over the weekend after knocking off the University of Maine - Augusta in Saturday's consolation game.

Fisher prevailed 80-67 to rise to 4-1 on the season. The Moose of UMA dropped to 0-4. Tyler Shular led the Falcons with 30 points, including 22 in the first half, a day after being held scoreless in Fisher's 62-48 loss to Emerson. Fisher's Ryan McCorkle grabbed 10 rebounds and scored seven points, and was named All-Tournament. UMA's Walker Cooper (21 points) rounded out the All-Tournament Team.

In Friday's semi-final the Falcons dropped a 62-48 decision to Emerson College despite leading 25-23 at half time. Ryan McCorkle led the Falcons with 24 points and 10 rebounds on Friday, positioning himself nicely for All-Tournament Honors.

The Falcons return to action on Tuesday November 20th.  Fisher will look to defend its undefeated record at home when they tip-off with the visiting Owls at 7pm at Fectau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, MA.
