The Fisher Falcons returned to winning ways following a 80-70 victory of the University of Maine- Presque Isle Owls.  The victory snapped a three game skid for the Falcons who improved to 6-10 on the year.

Ryan McCorkle (Skyline, WA) had a game high 24 points for the Falcons.  The senior also led the Falcons with 16 rebounds and 5 assists.

UMPI's Claude Louis hit a three pointer at the buzzer to give the Owls a 36-35 halftime lead but the advantage wouldn't last as the Falcons used a 42-31 rebounding advantage to take over the lead early in the second half. Louis finished with a team high 21 points for the visiting Owls.

The Falcons had three other players reach double figures. Chris Green (Middle Island, NY) finished with 14 points and four rebounds.  Kyle Murphy (Orlando, FL) had 13 points and five rebounds while Sam Nwadike (Houston, TX) added 11 points and three rebounds.

The visiting Owls had solid contributions from Patrick Manifold, Michael Warner and Aaron Hutchins. They would finish with 21, 17 and 11 points respectively.

The Falcons will look to continue and undefeated 2013 when they host Trinity College (CT) Monday evening.  The game is schedule for a 5PM tip-off and is part of a doubleheader that will see the women's team take on Simmons College at 8PM.
