Trinity Trumps Fisher, 66-24

The Fisher Falcons shot just 26% from the field and managed a season low 42 points in a non-conference defeat to the Trinity College Bantams Monday night at Fectau- Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, MA.  The visiting Bantams started the game on a nineteen to nine run and never looked back.

The Falcons manage to keep the game close at the break, trailing by four points, 26-22. Trinity extended their lead at the start of the second half with a 29 to 8 offensive outburst. Trinity increased their defensive pressure on the Falcons, causing 19 turnovers and held the Falcons to just six points in the first 12 minutes of the half. Trinity never looked back, winning the game 66-42.

Dana Hines grabbed a team high seven rebounds. He also contributed five points on the night. Tyler Shular lead the Falcons with nine points.  It was the first time all year a Falcon failed to score in double figures.  The sophomore also grabbed two rebounds in his team's 11th loss of the year. Junior point guard Kyle Murphy added a game-high five assists and tallied four points. Trinity had three players in double digits in points including Shay Ajayi's game-high 15 points.  Ajayi finished with seven rebounds as well. Jaquann Starks and Jamil Ebo added in 13 and 12 each. Ebo had a game high eight rebounds in the night.

Fisher's next game is Wednesday January 9th at home as part of a Falcons double header with a start time of 7:00 pm.
