Falcons Loses Tough Battle Versus Fitchburg State, 86-83

BOSTON,MA-The Falcons of Fisher College (6-12) lost a nail bitter to the Falcons of Fitchburg State (7-4), 86-83. The first half showed a back and forth game between the two teams, including the game being tied at half, 41-41. Both teams had the lead and lost it, with nine lead changes total.

            Fisher was led by Ryan McCorkie with a total 14 points. Tyler Shular and Tyler Radicioni adding in 10 and 8 points each in the first half for Fisher. Kyle Murphy added in six assists for the Falcons of Fisher. Fitchburg State had a balance offensive attack with Jeremy Kimber and Mike Ingram-Rubin scoring six points each. Three other Fitchburg Players had five points apiece.

            The second half was a mirror image of the first half with a back and forth battle. Fitchburg State took the lead for good at 18:22 left in the second half. The Falcons of Fitchburg State increase the lead to double digits against Fisher, with the lead being as much as 13 points. Fisher fought back but the Falcons of Fitchburg State were able to hold them off for the three point margin of victory.

            Tyler Shular had a game-high 24 points for Fisher College. Chris Green, Ryan McCorkie, Sam Nwadike, and Tyler Radicioni also scored double digits for the Falcons. Fisher's Kyle Murphy had a game-high seven assist. Fitchburg State was lead by Jesus Moore's team-high 15 points while Brandon Selby and Jeremy Kimber also scored double digits. Zach Valliere added a game-high ten rebounds for the Falcons of Fitchburg State

Fisher will now travel to Texas for a game on Saturday January 12, 2013 against Texas-Pan American with a start time of 7:00 PM CST. Fitchburg State will play Framingham State at home on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 3:00 pm EST.
