Falcons dominate in win over Paul Smith’s College, 98-68

BOSTON, MA- In a Sunday afternoon home game versus the visiting Paul Smith's College, the Falcons of Fisher College (7-16) won the game, 98-68, in a game they controlled from the start.

The falcons started off the game fast going on a 14-5 offensive run, and never looked back as the kept increasing their lead until they had a 26 point led in the first half. Fisher led Paul Smith's College by a23 point advantage with a score of 53-29 at halftime.

At the half Patrick Wightman lead Paul Smith's College in points (10) and rebounds (7). Alex Medina added in nine points for Paul Smith's College as well. The Falcons had eleven different players score points in the first half with Freshman Tyler Shular (Norwalk, CT) leading the scoring with eight points while Sophomore Sam Nwadike (Houston, TX) dished out five assists.

The second half was more of the same from the Falcons of Fisher College as they increase their lead up to 46 points. Paul Smith's College finished the game on a 18-2 offensive streak to end the game. Paul Smith's College's Patrick Wightman finished the game with a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Shiva Sethil of Paul Smith's College led also scorers with 22 points while Patrick O'Dell also added in 12 points. Shular led the Falcons with 19 points while being joined in the double-digit points club by Sophomore Chris Green (Middle Island, NY) with 17 points and Chris Sadafsaz (Plano, TX) with 11 points. Junior Kyle Murphy (Orlando, FL) had a game-high nine assists.

The Falcons will now travel to New Jersey for a game on Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 7:30pm against New Jersey Institute of Technology,
