Falcons Top UMFK For Season's 1st Victory

Fort Kent, ME --  Tyler Shular (Norwalk, CT) scored a game high 17 points off the bench for the Facons as Fisher earned a 77-74 road victory of the University of Maine - Fort Kent, Saturday afternoon.

With the victory Fisher evens their record for 1-1 while the Fort Kent Tigers fall to 1-2.

The Falcons jumped out to a 39-32 1st half lead and managed to hold on to the victory despite being outscored 42-28 in the 2nd half.  Fisher had five players score in double figures including Shular.  Junior Orlando Zayas (Boston, MA)  notched 10 points on 3-8 shooting and also added 2 rebounds. Fellow junior Earnest McNeil (Boston, MA ) collected Fisher's lone double-double, with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Ira Haywood (Las Vegas, NV) and O.J Moore (Houston, TX) has 12 and 11 points respectively.

The Falcons managed to hold the hosts to 46% shooting on the floor and gained a 29-24 rebounding advantage. The Falcons saw a noticably better effort from the free-throw line this time out, going 29-31 from the charity stripe.

The Falcons return to action Sunday, November 10th when the travel to Orono, ME to take on NCAA Division I's the University of Maine - Orono.  The game is scheduled from a 3pm tip off.
