Falcons fly past Nor’Easters, 72-53

Lynn, MA – The Fisher College Falcons closed out their pre-holiday schedule by squaring off against the University of New England Nor'Easters Tuesday night at Fectau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, MA.

The University of New England jumped out to an early 8-3 lead on a three pointer from Devin Thompson at the 17:08 mark.  However, the Falcons managed to withstand the early pressure and managed to take their 1st lead of the game on an Ernest McNeil lap up at 13:05. The Falcons lead the game by a score of 38-29 at halftime.

UNE's Devin Thompson led all scorers in the 1st half with nine points.  Justin Pollard also added eight points and three rebounds for the visitors. 

The Falcons were paced in the first 20 minutes by Tyler Shular and Orlando Zayas.  Shular led all Falcons with eight points and six rebounds while Zayes contributed four points and five boards.

 The Falcons were able to able to keep the lead going in the second half, winning the game by 19 points, the final score was 72-53 in favor of the Falcons.  UNE's Thompson and Justin Pollard scored double-digit points with 13 and 14.

The Falcons were lead by McNeil's double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. Other double digit scorers for Fisher included Zayas (11 points), Chris Green (10 Points), and Shular (10 Points).

The Falcons will return to action Wednesday, December 4th when they take on their cross-common rivals Emerson College.  The NAIA –NCAA cross over matchup is scheduled for a 7:00pm tip off.
