Murphy's 3-pointer Earns Victory over SUNY Canton

Canton, NY - Senior Kyle Murphy (Orlando, FL) drilled a 3-pointer from the corner with 2.5 seconds remaining to put Fisher by three and the Falcons held on for a hard faught 65-63 victory of the SUNY Canton Roos Saturday evening in Canton, NY.

Fisher improves to 11-13 on the season while SUNY Canton falls to 3-11.

Fisher had four players score in double figures on the afternoon, led by Tyler Shular's and Ernest McNeil's 12 points each. Chris Green and Ira Haywood added 11 points each with Haywoods tally coming off the bench.

Fisher held a commanding 38-27 lead at the break but allowed SUNY Canton to go 4-7 from behind the in the 2nd half to allow to host to climb back in the contest. Fisher was outscored 36-27 in the final 20 minutes but managed to force a missed three at the buzzer to hold on to the win.

The Falcons return to action Tuesday, Janaury 28th when they host Connecticut College at Fectau-Leary Middle School.  The NCAA- NAIA cross over match up is scheduled for a 8:00pm tip off.
