Falcons Defeat the Raptors 71-56

Boston, MA – Fisher College defeated Bard College (4-4) with a score of 71-56.  The Falcons move to 7-3 on the season after a non-conference match-up with the NCAA Division III school. 

Bard came ready to play, winning the tip and quickly going up 2-0 over Fisher. Shortly after, OJ Moore (Houston, TX) hit a three to put the Falcons up 3-2. Tyler Shular (Norwalk, CT) made a layup while drawing a foul to put Fisher up 7-5. 
Bard managed to tie the game at 13 with a three-point shot made by Alex Fabean-Scotch. Fisher pushed forward and again took the lead, 18-15.  Jameel Yousif (Glendale, AZ) helped increase the Falcon lead with less than eight minutes left in the first-half.

With just over two minutes left in the half, the Falcons took a six-point lead, 31-25. Both teams battled back and forth until half-time, but Fisher held onto the lead going into the break at 39-30.

Shular led the Falcons in the first half, scoring 10 points. Yousif was another scoring leader for the Falcons with eight points and grabbing four rebounds. 

Pat Kelly and Fabean-Scotch were scoring leaders for Bard. Kelly led the time with seven points and two rebounds, while Fabean-Scotch had six points and one rebound. 
Both teams started the second-half off cold. Bard hit the first shot after two minutes played, decreasing the Falcon lead to 39-32. The Falcons then went on a five-point run to put them up 44-32. 
Fisher went on a seven-point run later in the half to increase their lead over the Raptors to 55-36. Geodic Ortiz (Denver, CO) then hit four free throws to add to the Falcon lead. Jonas Rusom (Hasselby, Sweden) put the Falcons up 64-46 when he hit a jumper in the corner. Bard had a five-point run in the last three minutes, but the Falcons ran down the clock and finalized the score at 71-56.
Fabian-Scotch and Kelly continued to lead the Raptors on the court with 13 and 11 points, respectively. DeVahnte Mosley was another key Raptor, scoring nine points and grabbing six rebounds. 
The Falcons were led by Shular offensively with 15 points while he totaled six rebounds. Yousif made a 10-point contribution to the Falcons' win while also totaling six rebounds. Other key Falcons were Moore (nine points, four rebounds), Darrell Grady (Las Vegas, NV) (eight points, two rebounds) and Rusom (seven points, two rebounds).
Bard College heads back home to prepare for their home game on Saturday, December 13, against Medger Evers College. The Falcons take on Gordon College on Thursday, December 11, at 7:00 pm in Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, MA.  This will be game number two of Fisher's five game home stand before a short break.
