Lynn, MA – Geodice Ortiz (Denver, CO) recorded a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double, but the Fisher Falcons couldn't handle the balanced scoring effort put forth by the Pine Manor Gators, as the visitors earned a 94-86 victory Wednesday night at Fectau-Leary gymnasium. The Falcons fall to 18-6 on the season while Pine Manor improves to 9-9.

Pine Manor's Tank Roberson (Pittsfield, MA) and Chancie Williams (Hartford, CT) each tallied a game-high 24 points for the Gators. Jonathan Higgenbotham (Oakland, CA) collected a team-high seven rebounds while Roberson dished out six assists.

Along with Ortiz, the Falcons had six different double-digit scores, including Tyler Shular (Norwalk, CT) with 12 points. Ira Haywood (North Las Vegas, NV) and Darrell Grady (Staten Island, NY) notched 10 points while Kyle Holmes (Hamden, CT) added 11.

The visiting Gators led 50-35 at the break and as many 21 with seven minutes left in the contest before the Falcons made a game of it. Despite the increased defensive effort, the Falcons could not gain the lead as Pine Manor's Tank Roberson managed to navigate his team to victory.

Pine Manor shot 40.8% from the floor on 31-of-76 shooting while Fisher managed 44.1% (26-of-59). The visitors finished with a 43-to-40 rebounding advantage and managed only 25 turnovers to Fisher's 27.

At the opening of tonight's contest, the Falcons celebrated the stellar careers of four seniors: Chris Green, Ira Haywood, O.J. Moore, and Curtis Roberts.

The Falcons return to action Saturday afternoon when they travel to NCAA Division I's New Jersey Institute of Technology for a 4:00pm tip off. The Gators travel to Unity College on Saturday for a 6:00pm tip.
