Seniors help power Falcons over Knights

Lynn, Mass.- Seniors Tyler Shular (Norwalk, Conn.) and Kyle Holmes (Hamden, Conn.) battled hard to secure the Fisher College 94-53 victory over Vermont Technical College Tuesday evening in the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Mass.

Fisher College improved to 14-9 on the season with the victory over the Knights who drop to 5-15 on the season after the defeat.

Four Falcons reached double digit scoring including Shular with a double-double, 24 points and 11 rebounds.  Holmes, Anthony Kellum (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.), and Brandon Robinson (Fort Washington, Maryland) all reached double figures in the victory with 15 points, 14 points, and 10 points respectively.

The Falcons held on to a first-half lead of 54-22 before slightly outscoring the Knights 40-31 in the second half to seal the victory.  Fisher finished shooting 34-of-80 (42.5%) in the paint, 7-of-22 (31.8%) from behind the arc, and 19-of-27 (70.4%) from the free-throw line.

Fisher College will return to action Thursday evening when they play host to Pine Manor College from Chestnut Hill, Mass. for a 5:00 p.m. tip-off in the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Mass.  Vermont Tech has a few days off before also hosting Pine Manor on Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 p.m.
