LYNN, MASS. – Senior guard Kyle Holmes stole the show in tonight's 87-60 victory against SUNY Delhi.  Holmes was heading into the game with just 18-points left to reach 1,000 points.  Hitting 14 points in the first half, Holmes was just two shots away from hitting his benchmark.  He made a jumper 2 minutes into the second half, but with 10 minutes left in the game he netted a 3-pointer to slightly go over 1,000 points.

Fisher College improved to 11-6 on the season with their non-conference matchup with SUNY Delhi who dropped to 9-11 on the season.  The Falcons took the 87-60 victory in a double victory over the Broncos at Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Mass.

The game started off in the Falcons favor as Holmes hit a shot from behind the arc to take a quick 3-0 lead over the Broncos.  Fisher continued to put the pressure on SUNY Delhi as they took 12-4 lead on another Holmes 3-pointer.  Holmes stole the show and hit another 3-pointer to put the Falcons up by 11 (19-8) with 10:30 left in the first half.  

Fisher went on a 21 point run before the break to take a 40-27 lead over the Broncos.  Holmes (14 points) along with Brodic Smith (12 points) were responsible for the majority of the Fisher score in the first half.   

The second half remained dominant for the Falcons as the outscored the Broncos 47-33 in the second half for a final score of 87-60.  Fisher was shooting 58.6% in the paint, shot 40.0% behind the arc, and shot 78.6% from the free throw line.  SUNY Delhi shot 29.3% in the paint, 13.6% behind the arc, and shot 50.0% from the line in their loss.

Holmes after reaching his 18-points for his 1,000 points continued on to score a double-double with a game high 21 points and grab 10 rebounds in the Fisher victory.  Smith finished the game with 15 points and 4 rebounds.  Senior Cooper Neal added some offensive help for the Falcons scoring 14 points and grabbing 9 rebounds.

The Falcons will return to action on Thursday, January 19 as they play host to the College of Saint Joseph of Vermont at Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Mass.  Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m. but will start 20 minutes after the women's game versus Saint Joseph.
