Bengals Swipe Victory from Falcons 70-60

Lynn, Mass. -- Men's basketball took a 70-60 loss to the University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK) on Saturday afternoon.  The Falcons were up 35-28 at the half, but the Bengals dominated the second half earning the victory.

Fisher drops to 5-9 on the season while UMFK improves to 10-6.

Senior Jamontay Thompson opened up the scoring for the Falcons taking a quick 2-0 lead.  Mikol Blake-Green added a jumper to give Fisher a 4-0 lead.  The Bengals were able to hit a shot decreasing the Falcons lead to 2.  The Falcons were able to hang on to their lead for the next several minutes, but Johnathon Caldwell from UMFK tied the game at 14-14 with 11:03 left to play in the first half.

Fisher exploded and went on an 8-0 run to take a 22-14 lead.  UMFK went on their own run cutting the Falcons lead to 22-21.  The Falcons remained in control of the first half heading into the break with a 35-28 lead.

The Bengals opened the second half on a high note going on an 8-0 to take their first lead of the game 36-35.  Fisher came back with a 3-pointer to regain the lead 38-36.  The Bengals then added eight points to take a 44-38 lead over the Falcons.  UMFK took the lead with ____ on the clock and never looked back.  The Bengals finalized the game with a 70-60 victory over the Falcons.

Thompson paced the Falcons with 18 points and 8 rebounds.  Kyle Snowden added 16 points for the Falcons while grabbing 5 rebounds and adding 4 assists.  Anthony Knight led all players with 30 points for the Bengals.

The Falcons will return to action tomorrow, Sunday December 10, when they host the University of Maine at Presque Isle at 1:00 p.m. in the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Mass.
