Rembert Named A.I.I. Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Thompson A.I.I. Honorable Mention

Boston, MA- After a strong defensive season for junior Brandon Rembert, he was able to prevent the individual award shout out by Stillman College by being named Co-Defensive Player of the Year by the conference on Thursday night.

 

Rembert led all A.I.I. players with 61 steals and averaged nearly five rebounds per game. He chipped in 11.5 points per game. Stillman's Hoskins grabbed 6.1 rebounds per game and had 47 steals on the season. Joining Rembert for a post season award is senior Jamontay Thompson who was named to the A.I.I. Honorable Mention Team. These accolades are added to the already illustrious post season for both players with both being named to NIAC All-Conference Teams and Rembert being named NIAC Defensive Player of the Year.

 

A.I.I. officials also announced this year's first, second and honorable mention all-conference teams, along with the Champions of Character team, at the pre-championship tournament banquet. The honorees were:
