Boston, MA- The Men's Basketball team has now won three games in a row for the first time this season as they defeated the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats (0-9) Sunday afternoon, 69-45. The Falcons have also continued to shoot well as they have shot over 40% from the floor for the past five games to improve their overall season record to 7-8. The team shot 45% from the floor in the win over the Bobcats, while holding the visitors to just 29% in the win.
Fisher took the lead right away in the first half and never looked back as they did not trail in the contest. Good ball movement created open looks for the Falcons and they took advantage of them, shooting 50% from the floor in the first half, taking a 37-12 lead into halftime. Abrian Dickson (Indian Wells, AZ) continued to shoot well off the bench for Coach Blouin as he led the Falcons with eight points in the first half, including two 3-pointers.
The Bobcats did not roll over coming out of the break, despite the Falcons lead. They would outscore the Falcons in the second half, 33-32, shooting 45% from the floor after shooting just 14% the first half, but it would not be enough as Fisher remained in control the remainder of the contest. The bench was a huge factor for the home team as the Falcons bench outscored the Bobcats 40-5 in the contest, and every Falcon who entered the game scored at least two points in the victory.
The Falcons were led by three players in double figures including Dickson's 13 points and six rebounds, a season high for the junior, as well as 11 points from Jhalen Lumpkins (Sacramento, CA) and 10 from Kyle Snowden (Santa Cruz, CA). Anthony Lewis (Lodi, CA) and Chris Sorapuru (Temecula, CA) led the way under the basket with a combined 15 rebounds, grabbing eight and seven respectively. The Bobcats were led offensively by Dimitri Campbell and Torry Wright who combined for 29 of their teams 45 points, while Campbell earned a double-double tacking on 10 boards in the loss.
Fisher will have one more road contest before the Christmas break as they head to Providence, RI to take on the Johnson & Wales Wildcats. The game is slated for Tuesday night at 7:30pm.
