Men's Basketball Riding A Three-Game Win Streak Takes On The JWU Wildcats Tuesday Evening

Boston, MA - The Men's Basketball team head into tonight's contest having won three games in a row for the first time this season.  They are coming off their most recent win on Sunday afternoon when they defeated the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats, 69-45. The difference over the past week has been their shooting as The Falcons have shot over 40% from the floor for the past five games to improve their overall season record to 7-8. Tonight they will head down to Providence, RI to take on the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats (3-6).

The Falcons will look to their current leading scorers Jhalen Lumpkins (Sacramento, CA) and Giovanni Thompson (Kissimmee, FL) to pace the offense, while also relying on the bench to step up again. Over the last three contests, the Fisher bench has outscored their opponents 92-22, a key factor in the three-game winning streak. Abrian Dickson (Indian Wells, AZ) and Malik Tavares (Providence, RI) have been big contributers over the streak, combining for 53 points while shooting 47% from the floor in the three victories.

The Wildcats have four players that average double figures while being led by Brian Hogan-Gary who leads his team both in points and rebounds with 21.7 ppg and 10.3 rebounds per game. Randall Ferdinand, Matt Madoian and Justin Bullock round out the other Wildcats in double figures averaging 16.4, 11.4 and 10.0 points per game respectively. Despite the losing record, JWU has faced three nationally ranked NCAA opponents this season, making their strength of schedule very tough. While the Falcons are on a three-game win streak, the Wildcats are on a three-game skid, most recently falling to #18 Nichols College, 86-71 last Tuesday.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm at the Wildcat Center in Providence, RI.  Watch the game via live here.
