Men's Basketball: Falcons tripped up by Salve Regina, 103-76

NEWPORT, R.I. – The Fisher College Men's Basketball team dropped a 103-76 decision this afternoon on the road at Salve Regina University. The Falcons are still searching for their first win of the season as they slide to 0-5 while the Seahawks improve to 3-2.

Junior Goddy Marc (West Orange, N.J.) led the Falcons offensive effort as he poured in at team-high 14 points while shooting 5-for-9 in a reserve effort. Senior Tanner Hoffman (Scottsdale, Ariz.) added 13 points with both junior Johnny Ortiz (Boston, Mass.) and senior Christopher Lennear (Sacramento, Calif.) chipping in with 11 points each. Hoffman, Lennear and sophomore Kyle Butler-Gaffney (Liverpool, N.Y.) all led the team with seven rebounds in the loss.

Salve Regina saw graduate student Cameron Collins (Montville, Conn.) light up the scoreboard with 30 points as he made 12-of-16 shots from the floor while collecting 10 rebounds. Freshman James Jolley (Kingston, England) pulled down 12 rebounds in the win as senior Mikey Spencer (Abington, Mass.) contributed 17 points for the Seahawks.

Fisher will enjoy a long break as they prepare for the 2021-22 season home opener next Friday afternoon. The Falcons will host former Sunrise Conference foe Vermont Technical College at 3pm inside the Pappas Gymnasium at Hellenic College. Salve Regina will return to action on Tuesday evening with a road contest at Connecticut College.
