Falcons down College of St. Joseph’s (VT) for 1st win of the season

BOSTON, MA- Fisher College Men's Soccer team earned their first win of the season with a 10-5 victory of the College of St. Joseph's (VT) in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at Ederly Field in Medford, MA.

The visiting Saints jumped out to an early lead when Josh Stevens connected on a long throw in by Tom Heaver. The Falcons were able to equalize minutes later when sophomore Robert Milne (Lenox, MA) tallied his first career goal for the Falcons.

After trading a pair of goals, the Falcons took a 3-2 half time lead when freshman Tyler Gahara (Hooksett, NH) scored the first of 5 goals on the afternoon.

Coming out the the break the Falcons took full advantage of their speed of play, torching the visitors with seven second half goals.  The Falcons were out shot  by the Saints 37-35 but had a deciding advantage with 26 shots on goal to just 15 by the Saints.

 This win marked the first victory for the Falcons since the 2009 season. Head coach Bill Maddock earned his first victory as head coach of the Men's team.
