Falcons fall to Ferrum, 10-1

FERRUM, Va. –The Falcons travel to Penn-Roediger Field in Ferrum, Va. to take on Ferrum College in a Friday night showdown.

 Nelson Hernandez got Ferrum  first  goal of the game at the 18th minute mark when he found the back of the net after a pass from Kyle Simpkins. Both Aaron Gustine and Jae White where able to score before the 22nd minute to increase the score to 3-0 in favor of Ferrum. Simpkins and Asa Fox were both able to score in the 26th minute for Ferrum while Cristian Turcios and Chris Benavides also found the back of the net to give Ferrum a 7-0 lead before the 32nd minute of the game.

The Falcons were able to get on the board for their only goal in the 33rd minute when Sophomore Steven Masterson (Berkeley, MA) was able to get the ball past the Ferrum goalkeeper. Ferrum's Micah Abel was able to increase their lead to 8-1 before halftime. Chris Bede and Andres Juarez was able to add a goal apiece for Ferrum in the second have making the final score 10-1 in favor of Ferrum.


Fisher continues their road trip on Sunday October 13, 2013 when they travel to Randolph-Macon where they will play at 1:00 PM. Ferrum returns to action at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at home against Averett University.
