Falcons stung by Yellow Jackets, 7-1

GLEN ALLEN, Va. –The Fisher College Falcons men's soccer team took the field versus Randolph-Macon on a wet Sunday afternoon in Glen Allen, Va. at Striker Park. The Yellow Jackets' offense was too much as the Falcons loses 7-1.

Will Topping got the first goal of the game in the 16th minute after a pass by Jorge Noboa as the Yellow Jackets took a 1-0 lead. The Falcons' Kelly Abreu (Freshman/Salem, MA) tied the score at 1-1 less than a minute later. Randolph-Macon's Zack Poston scored goals in 23rd and 32nd minute to put the Yellow Jackets up 3-1 at half time.

Caleb Hatcher of the Yellow Jackets scored the first of four second half goal for the Yellow Jackets in the 51st minute. Greg Noordanus scored off a free kick in the 60th minute to put the Yellow Jackets up 5-1. In the 72nd minute, the Yellow Jackets increased the score to 6-1 after Josh Estrada found the back of the net. The final goal of the game was scored by Jacob Johnson of the Yellow Jackets in the 79th minute.

Randolph-Macon's next game will be on the road at Hampden-Sydney on Wednesday, Oct. 16 with a 7 PM contest start time. The Falcons next game will also be on Wednesday, Oct. 16 when they play Hampshire at home, 5:00 PM start time.
