Falcons Drop Home Opener to Johnson State

Medford, MA -- The Fisher Falcons dropped a 3-0 decision to Johnson State College Sunday afternoon, falling to 0-2 in the 2014 season. Sunday's game marked the home opener for the Falcons, who began their season with a loss to Yeshiva University Friday morning.

Johnson State opened scoring in the ninth minute before taking on insurance goals in the 24th and 49th minutes.

The Falcons managed just seven shots to Johnson State's 13, while the guest also had a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Sophomore Jose Villagran (Somerville, MA) took the loss for the Falcons after stopping three of six JSC shots on goals.

Offensively, the Falcons were paced by Tyler Gahara (Hooksett, NH), who had a team-high of five shots, but failed to find the back of the net.

Fisher returns to action Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Green Mountain College for a 4:00pm kick off.
