Fisher College Edged by King's College 4-1

Hoboken, NJ – Much like many of their past games, the Fisher College men's soccer team (0-4-0) took the lead in the game but could not hold on to win. The Falcons dropped the game to the Lions (1-2-0), who picked up their first win with a score of 4-1. 

 

In the 28th minute of play, sophomore Tyler Gahara (Hooksett, NH) was assisted by Matthew Miller (Lake Worth, FL) to score the Falcons' lone goal. The team went into half-time with a 1-0 lead.

 

Opening up the second half, Emilio Godinez of King's College (1-2-0) knotted the game at 1, scoring unassisted. Eleven minutes later, the Lions struck again, now leading 2-1. Within the next 20 minutes, two more goals were scored for King's College, finalizing the score at 4-1.

 

Although the Falcons got the loss, they outshot the Lions 27-15. Freshman Lion Jacob Wright picked up his first win in goal, bringing his record to 1-2. Yves Charles (Holbrook, MA) got his first start in the net for the Falcons, bringing his record to 0-1.   

 

The Falcons have a few days off before traveling back to New York on Wednesday, September 17, for a 4:00 pm matchup with St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn.
