Falcons Soar Past Hampshire, 7-2

Boston, MA – Sophomore Matthew Miller (Boynton Beach, FL) found the top corner on a Sergio Messa's (Barcelona, Spain) cross in the 3rd minute that proved to be the game winner as the Falcons eased to a 7-2 non-conference victory of Hampshire College Tuesday night at Hormel Stadium in Medford, MA.

The Falcons scored four goals in the first half and capped of their impressive offensive showing with three goals in the second half as the Falcons improved to 5-7 on the season.  Miller finished with two goals and two assists while classmate Tyler Gahara (Hooksett, NH) and freshman Jacob West (Epping, NH) also tallied two goals.

The Falcons dominated the game from the beginning, out shooting Hampshire 40-2.  Sergio Messa had a team high 13 shots while Gahara was second with 10. 

Jose Villagran (Somerville, MA) collected one save to earn the victory for Fisher. 

The Falcons are back in action Thursday, October 9th when they host the University of Maine – Fort Kent at 4:00pm.
