Gahara’s Double Hat-Trick Leads Falcons to an 8-5 Victory

Amherst, MA – The Fisher College Falcons (7-8) defeated Hampshire College (1-9-1) by a score of 8-5.

 

Tyler Gahara (Hookset, NH) led the Falcons offensively as he took 11 shots with seven on goal. Of his seven shots, Gahara scored a double hat trick in the contest with three assists from Sergio Messa (Barcelona, Spain).

 

Heading into the half, the game was a nail biter with the Falcons only leading by one with the score at 4-3. Garaha, Messa, and the rest of the Falcons managed to hold on and score four more goals in the second half to earn their second victory in as many games. 

 

Messa scored two goals to combine with Garaha's six to give the Falcons their eight goals. Matthew Miller (Lake Worth, FL) had two assists on the day, one assisting Garaha and the other Messa. 

 

The Falcons managed 24 shots with 14 shots on goal. Jose Villagran (Somerville, MA) got the win in net with five saves and only allowing five goals. 

 

The Falcons return to action Tuesday, October 21, at 6:00 pm as they take on the Lions of Emerson College at Hormel Stadium in Medford, MA.
