Falcons Sweep Aside UMPI Owls, 5-1

Boston, MA – Tyler Gahara (Hooksett, NH) converted a UMPI mistake in the second minute of action to give the Falcons the lead over the Owls at Saturday afternoon's game at Hormel Stadium, and Fisher never looked back on their way to 5-1 victory.

The Falcons scored two goals in the first seven minutes of the game to earn their sixth victory of the season and second win over University of Maine–Presque Isle this season. The Falcons defeated the Owls, 2-1, in Maine on September 19th.

Gahara finished the game with two goals while freshman Sergio Messa (Barcelona, Spain) tallied two of his own. Freshman Jacob West (Epping, NH) scored the fifth goal for the Falcons.

Goalkeeper Jose Villagran made two saves on the afternoon to earn the win.  The sixth victory sets a new school record for wins in a season for the Falcons, besting last year's mark of five.

The Falcons return to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Hampshire College as part of a men's and women's doubleheader. The Falcons defeated Hampshire, 7-2, back on October 7th in the season's first meeting.
