Emerson Defeats Fisher 5-1

Boston, MA – The Fisher College Falcons were defeated by the Emerson Lions (5-7-3) by a score of 5-1, dropping to 7-9 on the season.



In the eighth minute, Tyler Gahara (Hookset, NH) scored the first goal of the game for the Falcons on a cross from Sergio Messa (Barcelona, Spain). The Lions answered back in the 14th minute with a goal by Matt Zani, knotting the game at 1.



Adam Halliday was able to take control for the Lions as he scored the next two goals in the 16th and 38th minutes. The Lions now led the game 3-1 at the half.



Both teams came out strong in the start of the second half, but for 30 minutes neither team scored a goal. However, in the 77th minute, Emerson's Jeremy Leder tacked on another goal to bring the score to 4-1.



Evan Eubanks scored the last Lion goal finalizing the score at 5-1. Emerson outshot Fisher 34-11 in the defeat.



Jose Villagran (Somerville, MA) took the loss for the Falcons while making 11 saves on the night.



The Falcons return to action Saturday, October 25, at 3:00 pm as they host Daniel Webster College at Hormel Stadium in Medford, MA.
