Falcons Downed by Eagles 2-1

Boston, MA – The Fisher College Falcons (7-10) were defeated by the Daniel Webster College Eagles (12-4-1) with a score of 2-1. 

 

Both teams opened the game strong, playing 24 total minutes without a goal. Fisher was the first to break the stalemate, as Tyler Gahara (Hookset, NH), on an assist from Sergio Messa (Barcelona, Spain), scored the first goal of the game in the 25th minute. The Falcons held onto the 1-0 lead into the break, despite Daniel Webster outshooting Fisher 13-5.

 

The second half started much like the first, with both teams coming out strong. In the 51st minute, Daniel Webster's Nathan Misidi scored, knotting the score at 1. Four minutes later, Brad Hosey, with assist by Joey Morgan, scored the Eagles' second goal. 

 

Although the score proved otherwise, both teams were head-to-head in shots, with the Eagles taking 14 shots to the Falcons' 13. Overall, the Eagles dominated the game, taking a total of 28 shots with 13 on goal. The Falcons had 13 shots, with 9 shots on goal.

 

Steven Masterson (Berkeley, MA) made his first appearance in net for the season, taking the loss but managing 11 saves.

 

The Falcons return to action for their final regular season game on Tuesday, October 28, as they travel to Suny Cobbleskill in New York for a 3:00pm kickoff.
